Scientific Knowledge Production on Green Hydrogen in Argentina:
An Exploratory Study
Keywords:
bibliometrics, scientific knowledge, green hydrogen, Argentina, OpenAlexAbstract
This paper presents a bibliometric study of the scientific knowledge production on green hydrogen in Argentina, based on scientific articles systematized through the bibliographic reference platform OpenAlex during the 2000–2025 period. First, the article introduces and justifies the broader problem framework within which this study is situated. It then outlines the
conceptual and methodological framework, grounded in a content analysis approach through which a structured review of the scientific literature was conducted following the Scientometric and Systematic Yielding Mapping Process (SYSMAP) model. Third, the results are analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively, considering categories such as authorship, publication source, year of publication, institutional affiliations of authors, and the main research lines developed in the field. Finally, the paper concludes with an evaluation of the findings, highlighting the growing relevance that the topic has acquired within scientific agendas—particularly from 2015 to the present—as well as the principal research trends and the areas that remain underexplored.
